Screen Pixels Per Degree (PPD) Calculator

Analyze display visual clarity. Calculate screen PPD for desktop screens or VR headsets.

What is Pixels Per Degree (PPD)?

Pixels Per Degree (PPD) measures visual density by dividing the number of screen pixels by the user's viewing angle. Unlike PPI (Pixels Per Inch), PPD accounts for viewing distance. A visual density of 60 PPD represents the limit of standard 20/20 human vision (often called "Retina" resolution), where individual pixels become indistinguishable.
